Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 June 2026

By creating an account or using Teacher Task Manager ("the Service", "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Who can use the Service

Teacher Task Manager is intended exclusively for school staff: teachers, teaching assistants, and other school employees. It is not designed for or available to students. By creating an account you confirm that you are a school staff member aged 16 or over.

Account creation may require a school email address. We reserve the right to refuse or remove accounts that do not meet eligibility criteria.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must not share your account credentials.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data and task data will be removed within a reasonable period, subject to our Privacy Policy.

3. Free and Pro plans

The Service offers a Free plan and a Pro plan:

Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

4. Subscriptions and cancellation

Pro subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

If a payment fails, we may suspend your Pro access until the payment is resolved.

14-day cancellation right: Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of purchase. However, by accessing Pro features before the end of that 14-day period you expressly request that we begin providing the digital service immediately and acknowledge that your right to a full refund is reduced in proportion to the service already delivered.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Personal data: students and third parties

The Service is built to manage your own workload: your tasks, notes, timetable and the teams you belong to. To provide it, we necessarily store the account details you give us (such as your name and email address) and the content you create, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

You must not use the Service to record, store, or process personal data about students, or about any other individual who is not a user of the Service in their own right. This includes, but is not limited to, names, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, photographs, behaviour or safeguarding records, and medical or SEND information. Beyond the account details the app needs, please also avoid entering sensitive personal information about yourself.

If you choose to store personal data about a student or other third party in the Service despite this prohibition, you do so entirely at your own risk and bear sole and full responsibility for that data. This includes compliance with all applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We accept no liability whatsoever for any breach, loss, misuse, or unlawful processing of third-party personal data that you introduce into the Service.

We strongly recommend that you review your school's data protection policy and seek guidance from your school's Data Protection Officer before using any third-party tool for work-related purposes.

7. Content you create

You own the task data, notes, and other content you create in the Service. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this data in order to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

AI-generated content: AI-powered features (Pro only) may generate suggestions such as task descriptions, subtask ideas, priority recommendations, and workload briefings. This content is produced by third-party AI models and is provided as a starting point only. We make no warranty as to its accuracy, suitability, or completeness. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content before acting on it.

Shared content: When you share notes or tasks with team members, or send messages in team chats, that content becomes visible to those members. You are responsible for ensuring that anything you share does not contain personal data about third parties (including students) in contravention of section 6 of these Terms.

8. Connected accounts and integrations

Some optional features let you connect a third-party account. These connections are entirely your choice, may be limited to the Pro plan, and can be disconnected at any time from within the app.

Your use of these integrations is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of the relevant provider (Google or Microsoft). We are not responsible for those third-party services. How we handle data from these integrations is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) or guaranteed uptime for any plan. We may perform maintenance, updates, or make changes to or remove features at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime, feature changes, or discontinuation of the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or lost productivity.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to receive digital services of satisfactory quality and as described.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Cookies

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Full details are set out in our Cookies and Local Storage Policy, which forms part of our Privacy Policy.
